ETHOS Elixirs creates unique artisan made products with all natural ingredients.  Our custom developed scent profiles are formulated using 100% flora.  We've made a special effort to establish, maintain, and grow our business with an ethical stance.  Ethos would like to assure consumers that our products are made with the highest quality ingredients, are all natural, chemical free and sustainable.

Welcome to the Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website.  By using the Ethos Elixirs website, you agree to be bound by its Terms and Conditions of Use, explained below.

Though Ethos Elixirs.com is a secure website with a valid SSL certification, by using the Ethos Elixirs website, you expressly agree that use of the Ethos Elixirs website is solely at  your  own risk.  The Ethos Elixirs website is provided on an "AS IS" and "as available" basis. 

Under no circumstances shall Ethos Elixirs be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from your use of, or inability to use the Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website, including but not limited to reliance by you on any information obtained from the Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website that results in mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion or corruption of files, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance. Because there is an element of risk inherent in most business agreements, Limit of Liability clauses are common.  An express assumption of risk where the Customer, Participant, Consumer acknowledges understanding the nature of the activity and the risks involved, and chooses voluntarily to accept those risks. 

The products on this website have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.  These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.  Products on this website should not be misused, if you have allergy concerns, you are encouraged to do your own research and consult your physician.  These products are not intended for human consumption.  You are responsible for the use of this product and assume all risks associated with said use.  All of our products are sold without liability to Ethos Elixirs.  By placing an order, you agree to all Ethos Elixirs Policies, including our Terms and Conditions of Use, Limit of Liability, Hold Harmless Clause and Disclaimers.

Legal Agreement + Hold Harmless Clause

The Customer, Participant, Consumer shall Hold Harmless Ethos Elixirs from any and all claims, suits, actions, damages, liabilities and expenses in connection with any loss what so ever, including but not limited to; bodily or personal injury, property damage, or loss of life, including loss of use, thereof directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from, arising out of, or occurring in connection with the purchase and/or use of any of our products. 

A Hold Harmless Agreement is a legal agreement that informs the Customer, Participant, Consumer that by using the Ethos Elixirs website or any of our products, that the Customer agrees not to hold Ethos Elixirs responsible for any loss what so ever, including but not limited to any adverse effects that may result from participation in the use or activity, or performance of products, or services provided by Ethos Elixirs, or any actions by the Customer, Participant, Consumer.  For proper use follow all Warnings and Instructions and Safety Rules.  Please use responsibly.

The Ethos Elixirs website is intended for use by responsible individuals 18 years of age or older.  The Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website is not responsible for actions made by under age users.  Under age users, or potential customers should get the assistance of a parent or guardian to use Ethos Elixirs website.  Please read our Warnings and Instructions.

Warnings + Instructions

Our unique soy candles are artisan made, and hand-poured in small batches, are clean burning, cruelty-free and sustainable.  They contain no chemical fragrances, they are paraffin free and made with self trimming paper wicks, no colorants, dyes or preservatives.  Made with 100% plant material, handcrafted in Los Angeles.  Protect your family, be aware of toxic ingredients in your candles.  

For optimal burn at first lighting, melt entire wax surface to create a wax-pool from edge to edge to keep candle from tunnelling. 

Failure to follow candle instructions could result in fire hazard or injury.  To prevent a fire never leave a burning candle unattended.  Keep out of reach of children, pets and flammable materials.  Trim wick to 1/4” prior to lighting and remove wick trimmings.  Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time.  If misused glass may shatter.  Container will be hot when candle is lit, allow it to cool before moving or relighting.  Burn times may vary as atmospheric conditions differ.

National Candle Associations Candle Safety Rules

Always keep a burning candle within sight.  Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.  Be sure the wick ember is no longer glowing.  Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.  Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.  Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.  Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning.  Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning and dripping.  Always use a candle-holder specifically designed for candle use.  The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.  Be sure the candle-holder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.  This can help prevent heat damage to underlying surfaces and prevent glass containers from breaking.  Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.  Always read and follow the manufacturer’s use and safety instructions carefully.  Don’t burn a candle longer than the manufacturer recommends.  Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents.  This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting.  Drafts can also blow nearby lightweight items into the flame where they could catch fire.  Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.  Don’t burn too many candles in a small room or in a “tight” home where air exchange is limited.  Don’t burn a candle all the way down.  Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container.  For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 2 inches of wax remains or ½ inch if in a container.  Never touch or move a burning candle or container candle when the wax is liquid.  Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass holder.  It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.  Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another.  This helps ensure they don’t melt one another, or create their own drafts to cause improper burning.  Use a snuffer to extinguish a candle.  It’s the safest way to prevent hot wax splatters.  Never extinguish candles with water.  The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might cause a glass container to break.  Be very careful if using candles during a power outage.  Flashlights and other battery-powered lights are safer sources of light during a power failure.  Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high.  The candle isn’t burning properly.  Cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting.  Never use a candle as a night light.

Allergies + Sensitivities 

Our products are free of chemicals, however some individuals may be allergic or sensitive to certain ingredients in beauty products or cosmetics, even if those ingredients are safe for most people.  Most fragrance formulas may have some components, which may have a potential to cause allergic reactions, or sensitivities for some people.  Have confidence in knowing our products are chemical-free, although if you have sensitive skin or allergies inquire with your allergist or physician.  Our signature scent, Ancient MuseTM contains no photosensitizing ingredients.  For safety apply only a small portion of our elixirs to the topside of your wrist, to test before using on the rest of your skin.

FDA does not have the same legal authority to require allergen labeling for cosmetics as for food.  If you’re concerned about fragrance sensitivities, you may want to choose products like ours that are chemical fragrance free.  Even though you may check the ingredients list carefully, ‘trade secrets’ may not be listed, be aware of this when purchasing chemical fragrance products.

Product Display + Colors 

The Ethos Elixirs website attempts to display product images shown on the site as accurately as possible.  However, we cannot guarantee that the color you see matches the product color, as the display of the color depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using.

Errors + Omissions on Our Site

Prices, availability of products and services are subject to change without notice.  Any misrepresentations will be corrected where discovered, and Ethos Elixirs reserves the right to revoke any stated offer, and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted, and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.  If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Ethos Elixirs will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.  Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account.  If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website Return and Exchange Policies.

Sales Tax Policy

Ethos Elixirs is located in West Hollywood, California, and 9% sales tax will be incorporated to the cost of your order, as required by the State.  The sales tax may fluctuate based on states laws.

Secured Payment Methods for Your Order

Protected by a Secure Socket Layer Certification at check out, use a major credit card, issued in the United States of America, such as, Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover®, or American Express.  Generally, all credit and debit cards are charged at the time the order is placed.  At Ethos Elixirs we make every effort to always have all products available, if unavailable or backordered we will contact you to discuss possible options.

Order Acceptance + Confirmation

The receipt of an electronic or other form, of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of the order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.  Ethos Elixirs reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept, or decline your order for any reason.  However, once you have completed your order, our system will send an E-mail showing you a copy of the order as it was received by Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website.  The customer is responsible for receiving this E-mail confirmation and reviewing for accuracy.  It is extremely important the customers E-mail address and contact information is entered correctly.

If upon receipt of your order, you notice the order is not what you intended, all return and shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.  Follow the Return and Exchange Policy and upon approval, we will exchange the product for equal value.  Ethos Elixirs is not responsible for any of the shipping costs involved in returning and reshipping.

Return + Exchange Policy

We will make every reasonable effort to remedy any issues within our control.  If a product arrives damaged please email us, and return it to us in the same packaging you received it, we will file a claim with the delivery service, and exchange your damaged product, for the same product as soon as possible.  If you discover that a candle scent profile doesn’t work for you, we will allow one exchange of that product for another of equal value. The customer is responsible for shipping in this case.  All sales made through the Ethos Elixirs ecommerce website are subject to our Return and Exchange Policy.  Once circumstances are determined and the return or exchange approved, with proof of purchase, Ethos Elixirs may either give a full credit refund, equal value exchange, store credit, or some combination of these, depending on the situation, within seven days following the purchase.  All merchandise to be exchanged must be in the original shipment boxes, products must be in original condition, unused and undamaged.  To obtain authorization to return purchased merchandise, email us at returns@ethoselixirs.com.  Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.  Returns or exchanges will not be accepted on discounted or discontinued items.

Shipping Policy

Orders generally ship the following business day, or within 1-3 days upon receipt of an order, this can vary depending on workflow and order details.  Pricing is direct and based on weight and distance.  

Promotional Codes

All promotional codes must be entered during the checkout process, at the time the order is submitted for processing. 

Privacy Policy

We value our relationship with our customers and are committed to responsible information-handling practices.  We take great care in safeguarding your personal information and in complying with all applicable federal and state privacy laws.

Also, please note that even though you may have opted out of receiving marketing communications, you may still receive business-related communications such as order confirmations, product recall information, or updates, or other organization-related communications.
